PYTHEIA 2.0.0 EVALUATION LICENCE TERMS

Copyright (c) 2026 Orionis Group Company. All rights reserved.

Licensor: Orionis Group Company ("Orionis")
Product: Pytheia 2.0.0, Windows evaluation package

The "Licensee" is the individual or institution identified in the
Orionis-signed licence supplied separately for this installation.
The "Licence Period" is its issued_at date through the day before
its expires_at date, inclusive, UTC. Expiry is at 00:00 UTC on expires_at.
The standard website evaluation is 30 UTC calendar days from issuance.
Orionis supplies a personalized agreement stating the actual name,
licence ID and dates with each issued licence.
 Delivery or installation
does not restart or extend that period.

1. Evaluation licence
Orionis grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to
install and use this package on computers under the Licensee's control
for internal telescope pointing-model evaluation, research and related
engineering analysis during the Licence Period. Reasonable backup copies
are permitted.

For an individual, this grant authorizes that individual's use. For an
institution, it authorizes use by personnel acting on its behalf for its
internal purposes, subject to any separately agreed user or installation
limits. The institution is responsible for their compliance. This grant
does not authorize access by unrelated third parties or redistribution
of Pytheia. An extension or different grant requires Orionis's written
agreement and, where applicable, a new signed licence.

2. Ownership and results
Orionis and its respective rights holders retain their rights in Pytheia,
its documentation and supplied materials. No ownership of Pytheia is
transferred. This agreement transfers no rights to Orionis in the
Licensee's input data, independently authored additional terms, or
generated reports and coefficients.

The Licensee may retain, use and share its data and generated results,
including after expiry. Shared Pytheia reports must retain their Orionis
copyright and licence attribution. Sharing results does not authorize
sharing the software or transferring this licence.

3. Protected components
Except as permitted by mandatory law, the Licensee must not redistribute,
sublicense, sell or publish Pytheia; remove proprietary notices; circumvent
the Pytheia licence or integrity controls; or reverse engineer, decompile
or disassemble Orionis's protected components. These restrictions do not
limit rights granted by the licences of third-party components below.

4. Customer configuration and additional terms
The Licensee may edit the supplied settings files and app/additional_terms.py,
and use its own data files. The Licensee is responsible for validating
those inputs and extensions. This permission does not authorize modification
of the protected scientific binaries, licensed worker, launcher or
integrity files.

5. Bundled third-party software
This package includes CPython and third-party open-source components.
Their copyright, licence and notice texts are supplied in the package,
including docs/third_party and the runtime's original notices. Each
component remains governed by its own licence. This agreement neither
replaces those licences nor restricts rights they grant. Orionis's
proprietary licence applies to Orionis's components, not to third-party
software as such.

6. Engineering responsibility and warranty
The Licensee must have pointing models and results reviewed by qualified
personnel before operational use. Evaluation results do not establish
suitability for a particular telescope, control system or safety-critical
application. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pytheia
is provided "as is", without express or implied warranties, including
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Orionis is not liable
for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or
loss of data, revenue or use, arising from Pytheia. Nothing in this
agreement excludes liability that applicable law does not permit to
be excluded.

8. Expiry and termination
The right to run Pytheia ends automatically at the stated expiry. Orionis
may terminate it for a material breach by written notice, allowing
14 days to cure a breach capable of cure.

After expiry or termination, the Licensee must cease running Pytheia
and delete its proprietary executable copies, except copies required
to be retained by law. The Licensee may retain its data, additional
terms, reports, coefficients and a copy of this agreement. Third-party
component rights continue according to their respective licences.

9. Other terms and support
This evaluation does not commit Orionis to a future commercial licence,
updates or a particular support response time. Any separately signed
written agreement between Orionis and the Licensee prevails where it
expressly conflicts with these terms. No governing-law or jurisdiction
choice is made in this evaluation agreement; any agreed choice must
be stated separately in writing.
